The 2023 Field of Honor is a living display of heroism. All flags will proudly be displayed on the Parade Field of the U.S. Army Airborne & Special Operations Museum at 100 Bragg Boulevard in Fayetteville.

Drop off new or gently used coats on October 21st from 9 to noon at Yates Thagard Baptist Church’s Drive Through Coat Drive. The church is located at 3820 Vass Carthage Road in Carthage. Hot Chocolate will be served. Coats collected will be distributed to Moore County families in need.
The Friends of the Aberdeen Library’s Crusin’ The Park Car Show is on Saturday, October 21st from 9 to 3 at 301 Lake Park Crossing in Aberdeen. There will be vintage and hot rod cars, music, silent auctions, book sales and raffles. The event is free to the public.

Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church is hosting a Golf Tournament on Saturday, October 28th at 1:00 p.m. at the Gates Four Golf & Country Club (6775 Irongate Drive) in Fayetteville. Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 966 will be displaying 500 American Flags at the West End Fire Department (Routes 211 and 73 in West End) from Saturday November 4th thru Sunday the 12th, honoring living and deceased military personnel. A dedication ceremony will be on Sunday November 5th at 2:00. All are invited to attend.
