The North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, in cooperation with the Moore County Cooperative Extension, will be offering a Pesticide Collection Day for residents in Moore County and surrounding counties. Tramway Baptist Church in Sanford is having their spring plate sale by drive-thru on Friday, May 20th from 11 AM until it’s gone. Plates include ½ BBQ chicken, baked beans, coleslaw, dinner roll, and cookie. All for an 8-dollar donation to the building fund.

The Southern Pines Police Department is organizing a traffic and safety awareness event on May 21st from 11 to 3 in the rear traffic loop of the Sandhills Community College.  There will be a vehicle and equipment display, demonstrations, interactive events, and food vendors. The public is invited to attend and participate in this event.
