Angier's Spring Fling will be a fun day filled with Family Friendly Activities including an Easter Egg Hunt and a Touch-a-Truck area. The event will be held on Saturday, April 2nd from 11 to 2 at Jack Marley Park. There will be food trucks to grab lunch or a snack.

The National Association of Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger food drive provides residents with an easy way to donate food to those in need. Leave your donation of non-perishable food items next to your mailbox on Saturday, May 14th. In Lee County donations will benefit the local food pantry at the Christian United Outreach Center.

The North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, in cooperation with the Moore County Cooperative Extension, will be offering a Pesticide Collection Day for residents in Moore County and surrounding counties. Collection will be Wednesday, May 18th from 10 to 2 in the parking lot of the Moore County Agricultural Center.
Tramway Baptist Church in Sanford is having their spring plate sale by drive-thru on Friday, May 20th from 11 AM until it’s gone. Plates include ½ BBQ chicken, baked beans, coleslaw, dinner roll, and cookie. All for an 8-dollar donation to the building fund.
The Southern Pines Police Department is organizing a traffic and safety awareness event on May 21st from 11 to 3 in the rear traffic loop of the Sandhills Community College. There will be a vehicle and equipment display, demonstrations, interactive events, and food vendors. The public is invited to attend and participate in this event.
Calling all Marines and their family to join the Sandhills Detachment of the Marine Corps League for a Pig-Piking picnic to be held on Saturday, May 21st from 11 to 3 at the Aberdeen Lake Picnic Shelter. Come join your fellow Marines to learn more about the detachment activities.
