Zach’s Toy Chest fights cancer one toy at a time. Currently, there is a NEW toy drive taking place through May 5th for North Carolina children ages zero to eighteen who are fighting cancer and other illnesses. Jones Chapel United Methodist Church (89 Jones Chapel Road) in Sanford is holding their spring bazaar on Saturday, April 15th. Dinner will be BBQ or chicken pastry, vegetables, coleslaw, drink, and dessert. It will be served from 5:30 to 6:30. An auction will follow. Tickets are $10.00 per person. The Habitat for Humanity of the Sandhills is holding a Faith Relations Lunch and Learn on April 18th from noon until 1 at the First Baptist Church (200 East New York Avenue) in Southern Pines. A “Lunch and Learn” is scheduled every third Wednesday of the month.
