Veterans, their families, and all members of the community are invited to the Veterans Memorial at the Sanford Municipal Center (225 E Weatherspoon Street) on Wednesday, March 29th for a special flag raising in honor of Vietnam Veterans Day. The ceremony will begin at 12:00.
The American Legion Post 382 will be hosting National Vietnam Veterans Appreciation Day on March 29th at 6:00 pm with a free buffet dinner for Veterans. The Legion is off Highway 42 by US 1. Contact David Strong at 919-499-9235.
The Partnership for Children & Families will hold a Toss For A Cause Cornhole Tournament on Saturday, April 1st at 10:00. The tournament will be at the Mann Center (507 N Steele Street) in Sanford. The cost is $50 per team. Register at pfcf.org back slash toss.

Zach’s Toy Chest fights cancer one toy at a time. Currently, there is a NEW toy drive taking place through May 5th for North Carolina children ages zero to eighteen who are fighting cancer and other illnesses. Jones Chapel United Methodist Church (89 Jones Chapel Road) in Sanford is holding their spring bazaar on Saturday, April 15th.
