Cameron Historic Preservation is having a FUN raiser titled Save Miss Belle’s Bash on March 25th from 11 until 6. There will be food, music, auction, raffle, and carwash. Veterans, their families, and all members of the community are invited to the Veterans Memorial at the Sanford Municipal Center (225 E Weatherspoon Street) on Wednesday, March 29th for a special flag raising in honor of Vietnam Veterans Day. The ceremony will begin at 12:00.
The American Legion Post 382 will be hosting National Vietnam Veterans Appreciation Day on March 29th at 6:00 pm with a free buffet dinner for Veterans. The Legion is off Highway 42 by US 1. Contact David Strong at 919-499-9235.
The Partnership for Children & Families will hold a Toss For A Cause Cornhole Tournament on Saturday, April 1st at 10:00. The tournament will be at the Mann Center (507 N Steele Street) in Sanford. The cost is $50 per team. Register at pfcf.org back slash toss.
On Saturday, April 1st there will be a Lee County 4-H Livestock Horticulture Interest Meeting. Meet the volunteer leaders Jim & Jackie Green and tour the farm, which will be the home base for the club. Club logistics and name will be discussed after the tour. Jones Chapel United Methodist Church (89 Jones Chapel Road) in Sanford is holding their spring bazaar on Saturday, April 15th. Dinner will be BBQ or chicken pastry, vegetables, coleslaw, drink, and dessert. It will be served from 5:30 to 6:30. An auction will follow. Tickets are $10.00 per person. The Habitat for Humanity of the Sandhills is holding a Faith Relations Lunch and Learn on April 18th from noon until 1 at the First Baptist Church (200 East New York Avenue) in Southern Pines. A “Lunch and Learn” is scheduled every third Wednesday of the month.
