Local animal rescue organizations are joining forces in recognition of International Homeless Animals’ Day on August 18th from 3pm-9pm at the Depot Park in Sanford. The rescues involved are Animal Life Rescue, Lending Paws A Hand, Second Chance Ranch Rescue, Facilitate Rescue Inc, and Abandoned Love animal rescue. There will be live music, vendors, Hugger Mugger, a raffle, food trucks, rabies clinic, and pet adoptions at the event. The event will close with a candle light vigil to remember all the animals lost. The event will also bring awareness to the importance of spay/neuter.
